We are glad for the support Chalmers Architecture supply by suggesting Slakthuset in Göteborg as an interesting area to explore within the frames of Masters-theses or other academic papers with Urban Resilience in focus.
Slakthuset is situated 5 tram-minutes from the Central Station. This area has been forgotten bo most Göteborgare and now we are about to start with heart-transplant to bring in more light and modern food culture. Our first plants are already stretching for the just now installed greenhouse lamps and soon fish will swim in the tanks and mushroom will be harvested for our café and shop. One major aim is to develop Urban Agriculture that makes life in the city more sustainable but at the same time inspires and develop the countryside. Slakthuset is one of the platforms for Refarm Europe – a project deriving from MEP (Member of European Parliament) Peter Eriksson, Sweden. Niklas Wennberg is lead partner in Refarm Europe.
Give us a ring so you can come by to check out the place.
